Refund & Cancellation Policy

How to cancel, and when refunds apply.

Version 2026-07-07 · How to cancel, and when refunds apply.

1. Scope

This policy applies to paid Octobid subscriptions purchased through our payment processors — Stripe, PayPal, or Paddle. It should be read together with the Subscription & Billing Terms. Where a payment processor’s own buyer terms or applicable consumer law give you greater rights, those prevail.

2. Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel at any time from the billing portal in your workspace, or by contacting support. Cancellation stops future automatic renewals; it takes effect at the end of the current paid period. You keep paid features until the end of that period and are not charged again.

3. Refunds

Paid periods are billed in advance. Except where required by applicable law (including statutory consumer withdrawal rights, such as the EU/UK 14-day right where it applies), fees are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused capacity, or downgrades.

If you were charged in error, charged after a timely cancellation, or are entitled to a refund under applicable law or a payment processor’s buyer protection, we will refund the affected amount to the original payment method.

4. How to request a refund

Email [email protected] or [email protected] from your account email with the transaction date, amount, and processor reference. We aim to acknowledge requests within 5 business days and, where a refund is due, to issue it promptly; the time for funds to appear depends on your payment processor and bank.

5. Payment processors and Merchant of Record

Stripe and PayPal process payments on our behalf. When you pay through Paddle, Paddle.com acts as the Merchant of Record: Paddle is the seller of record for that transaction, handles billing and applicable taxes, and may appear on your statement. Refunds for Paddle transactions are issued through Paddle. We do not store full card numbers; card data is handled by the processor.

6. Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first so we can resolve it quickly. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without contacting us may result in suspension of paid features while the dispute is reviewed.
